Step 1:
Prior to your initial visit:
- Collect notes, photos, web sites, and articles that you like.
- Make a list of necessities (needs) for your room(s).
- Make a list of what would be nice to have (wants) for your room(s).
- Come up with a budget you can live with.
- If you are building, make a copy of your floor plans.
- When you are ready to get started give us a call to set up an appointment.
Step 2: At Your initial appointment we will:
- Come to your home to take measurements and/or review your architect’s plans.
- Discuss your floor plan(s).
- Discuss your plans for utilizing the room(s) you will be remodeling/building.
- Discuss your collection of ideas.
- Discuss your lists of wants and needs in order to obtain a clear and concise direction for your project.
- Answer any questions you may have.
- Review and/or assist you in establishing a budget for your project.
Step 3: Project drawings:
- We will create an initial design and conceptual sketches.
- We will meet with you to review the drawings, edit them, and work towards a final design.
Step 4 Review project details:
- We will set up a meeting with you to discuss revised drawings, design changes, cost estimates, and any potential modifications you would like to make.
Step 5: Finalizing the project:
- If you are pleased with the designs and the cost of the project is within your budget, then we will work together toward a contract that will include a detailed list of the work to be performed and a description of the selected materials to be used. At this time, a contract or retainer agreement with deposit will be required to move forward. We will then provide you with copies of any drawings needed.
Step 6: Upon receipt of the down payment we will:
- Obtain any necessary building permits.
- Make arrangements with your builder, architect, and/or decorator to coordinate scheduling.
- Create a timeline with an estimated completion date for your project.
- Begin ordering materials needed.
Step 7: Installation:
- Your cabinetry designer will meet with the installer to discuss plan details and answer any questions needed to ensure a quality installation.
- We ask that all cabinet hardware, plumbing, or electrical fixtures be on site at the time of cabinetry installation.
- After all products are installed, we will perform a detailed walk thru of your project to verify that all products were supplied as specified, and all work performed meets or exceeds quality expectations.
